"MCNEX awarded the top prize for innovation in cooperative partnership at Samsung Electronics' 2023 'Coexistence Cooperation Day'"

Samsung Electronics held its 'Coexistence Cooperation Day 2023' with its partner companies at the Ramada Hotel in Suwon on the 23rd.

The event was attended by 220 people, including key executives such as Vice Chairman Jong-hee Han and Samsung Display Vice President Cheong Lee, as well as representatives from 208 member companies of the partnership council.

The 'Coexistence Cooperation Day 2023' is a place for Samsung and its partner companies to communicate and encourage each other. The partnership council's regular general meeting and awards for excellent partner companies were held. The Coexistence Cooperation Day has been held regularly since 2012, but it was postponed since 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and resumed after 4 years this time.

MCNEX (CEO Min Dong-wook), which is involved in the module design and development of Samsung Electronics' mobile phones, won the grand prize by innovatively improving cost and productivity by automating the camera packaging line and OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) process, an automatic shake compensation function. In particular, through cooperation with 2nd-tier suppliers, the defect rate was innovatively improved and 9 suppliers were helped to reduce costs by approximately KRW 30 billion.
